Why?  Why pictures?  Why photography?  Put simply, photography is access.  Access to the things that interest me; move & shake me.  Without photography I could never have imaged the view of the bleachers from the field at Yankee Stadium; being on stage in front of 20,000 screaming music fans; exploring the World through direct experience with endless diversity; helping to give a voice to those in need; or being openly invited to witness the courage and vulnerability that comes with human connection.  Using photography to express and a camera to gain access, I have imagined a life that is uniquely mine.  I’ve had direct interaction with the things that have shaped me.  …and drawn from them the courage to attempt to discover life’s meaning through actively participating in it.  I am blessed to do the work that I do.  It’s demands are plenty, but it’s reward are plenty more.

Personally : I am a middle child and fire sign.  I make mistakes…and learn from them.  I’ve had great success.  I’ve had great failure.  I was named after 60′s British crooner Tom Jones.  I am a Leo.  I am a father.  My son makes me melt.  His name is Maceo – “may-see-oh”.  His mother is my best friend.  We are blessed.  I am ambidextrous.  I was petrified of ET when I was a child.  I maintain that ET is still relatively frightening as an adult.  I am a food & libation junkie.  I moonlight as a mixologist/barkeep at a craft cocktail lounge.  I find the cocktail to be an incredibly expressive & satisfying artistic medium.  I watch more history documentaries than I probably should.  I own a boat & often dream of becoming a river boat captain when I grow up.  I enjoy conversation – be it of banter or otherwise, a great challenge, getting lost, finding home, my son & his many stages, participating in the human experience, the crackles & pops of vinyl records, edamame, a good cooking class, the Rubic’s Cube, my nonna’s lasagna, losing hours with my acoustic guitar, tasty spirits & proper company to enjoy them with.  …oh, and the Beatles.  I am a Beatlemaniac.

Occasionally, I receive ‘industry-type’ recognition.  This is not why I do what I do, but it is nice to know that the work resonates.  Here are some cool things that I could put on a resume:
