Food & beverage are a passion of mine. Restaurants have always been my home away from home, and I’ve worked every front-of-the-house position from busboy to bar back…server, bartender, maitre d…you name it. I continue to hold a barkeep position at one of my favorite places in all of Rochester – Nox Cocktail. As it states my ‘about’ section…I find the cocktail to be an incredibly expressive artistic medium. So when my good friends threw caution to the wind and opened a craft cocktail lounge, I was inducted into the family as its Uncle. As Uncle I get to brag about it, look forward to it, care for it,,,and when it needs a diaper changing, duty falls on the shoulders of mommy and daddy ;). Another typical Uncle duty is to document growth. As history and photography are my thing, the rest of the family (who also happen to have owner stake in Salena’s Mexican Cantina in the Village Gate Square) gave me the honor of visualizing a decent portion of the marketing and branding efforts of both restaurants. Here are a few snaps – 1st the Booze Library of Nox followed by Salena’s Mexican Cantina.
