I recently had the honor of photographing a star-studded event at Armature Works in Tampa, Florida for the Ryan Callahan Foundation. Ryan is a former NHL standout who played with the Tampa Bay Lightning for 6 seasons.
The Ryan Callahan Foundation is dedicated to supporting pediatric cancer patients and their families. Their goal is to provide financial and emotional support to those affected by childhood cancer, as well as to fund research to find better treatments and cures. The foundation has been in existence for nearly 10 years now, beginning in October 2014.
The event was a wonderful opportunity to support this important cause while also enjoying a fun and glamorous evening. The space was beautifully imagined and decorated by Foundation Founder Kyla Callahan and Noor Zufari & her team at Noor Zufari Creative. It featured twinkling lights and celestial accents, acrobats dangling from the ceiling, magicians and more – creating a magical atmosphere.
Throughout the night, guests had the opportunity to bid on silent and live auction items, including sports memorabilia and unique experiences. There were also raffles and other fundraising activities, all in support of the Ryan Callahan Foundation’s mission.
As the official foundation photographer, I was thrilled to be a part of such an inspiring and impactful event. It was heartwarming to see so many people come together to support pediatric cancer patients and their families. The photos I captured will help to spread awareness of the Ryan Callahan Foundation’s important work and encourage others to get involved.
Overall, the event was a huge success, raising over $200,000 for the Ryan Callahan Foundation. It was a true testament to the power of community and the importance of supporting those in need. I’m grateful to have been a part of it and look forward to seeing the continued impact of the foundation’s important work.
