Hello Friends,
There are times when you simply have to be a tourist. To board the double decker bus, raid the gift shops, buy everything kitchey that’s on the shelves; and make it known to everyone – through word or action – that you are just NOT from here. I was that guy on our trip to Liverpool, England. So much so that I was answering the Beatle Tour Guide’s questions before he could finished asking (whispering the answers to Kelli of course…as I didn’t want to be THAT guy!). In fact…before asking his last quiz question he said – this is for everyone except the American bloke who might be standing in my shoes by the end of this tour. Beatle-maniac?? Guilty. We spent the weekend exploring. I consciously restrained from having a camera in front of my face for the entire journey. I craved being present. I am glad that I did as being there, in a new place, was strangely familiar.
I had to, however, shoot a little bit for the sake of the memory. I thought that it might be fun to share those here:
