FINALLY LIVERPOOL! : A BEATLEMANIAC’S SACRED VOYAGE

Hello Friends,

There are times when you simply have to be a tourist.  To board the double decker bus, raid the gift shops, buy everything kitchey that’s on the shelves; and make it known to everyone – through word or action – that you are just NOT from here.  I was that guy on our trip to Liverpool, England.  So much so that I was answering the Beatle Tour Guide’s questions before he could finished asking (whispering the answers to Kelli of course…as I didn’t want to be THAT guy!).  In fact…before asking his last quiz question he said – this is for everyone except the American bloke who might be standing in my shoes by the end of this tour.  Beatle-maniac??  Guilty.  We spent the weekend exploring.  I consciously restrained from having a camera in front of my face for the entire journey.  I craved being present.  I am glad that I did as being there, in a new place, was strangely familiar.

I had to, however, shoot a little bit for the sake of the memory.  I thought that it might be fun to share those here:
